Gangtok is covered in lush green mountains and rivers which gives a wonderful sight in any direction we look. The air is pure and fresh and it's refreshing. We stayed there for a week and it was a great escape from everyday rush and pollution form city life. I would recommend local sight seeing such as Mahatma Gandhi road and nearby lakes around gangtok over far off tourist places, but do visit Nathula pass, the indo-china border, it is a mountain peak covered in snow and the road to destination is a mesmerizing view.
