Shri Peetambra Peetha is a complex of Hindu temples, located in the city of Datia, in the Madhya Pradesh state of central India. Datia is best known for the Pitambara Peeth, a famous shaktipitha located at the entrance of Datia. This pilgrimage spot features Bagalamukhi Devi Temple and Dhumavati Mai Temple, established by Shri Golokwasi Swamiji Maharaj. Vankhandeshwar, a Mahabharat period temple of Lord Shiva, is also situated here. Datia was ruled by Bundelas, the Rajput clan. The fort was built in 1620 AD by Raja Bir Singh Deo. The palace within it has 400 rooms or so they say. Datia Palace, also known as Bir Singh Palace or Bir Singh Dev Palace, is situated nearly 30 km (Approx) from Jhansi.
