Chauragarh is a Scenic peak in pachmarhi. It takes a 2.5 hours to reach this place by foot with many big steps to climb. This a moderate level trek. The highlight of this activity is the beautiful trek to reach the temple and the experience of seeing the beauty of the nearby region from the very top of the hill. Along with that, photography, zip-lining, rock climbing etc can also be undertaken. There is a Fort there made by the King Sangram Shah of the Gond Dynasty. It is also exceptionally known for the beautiful Sunrise scenes. The sunrise scene here is stunning and climbing 1365 stages to achieve the point makes it all worth the effort. During the celebration of Nagpanchami and Mahashivratri, enthusiasts and devotees arrive at Chauragarh sanctuary in huge numbers, hurling up enormous Trishuls as contributions which are kept in front of the sanctuary.
