The Khajuraho Group of Monuments are a group of Hindu and Jain temples in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh, India, about 175 kilometres southeast of Jhansi. They are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temples are famous for their nagara-style architectural symbolism and their erotic sculptures. Almost all of these stunning temples were built by and during the reign of, the Chandela dynasty, i.e., between 950 to 1050 AD. The temples carry magnificent depictions of meditation, spiritual teachings, and erotic sculptures, making them a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are numerous Khajuraho tourist places, mostly temples, which are classified into 3 groups: Western Group of Temples, Eastern Group of Temples, and Southern Group of Temples.
